Tric Trac — Restaurant in Spoleto

OMG! you haven't had fine Italian cuisine until you eat here. Try the Risotto with Truffles and everything the Maitre d'hotel recommends. Everything from the food, the setting and the service is exquisite. The restaurant is spotless and they have a great wine list. I ate there every day and night I spent in Spoleto, and I always started with an Aperol Spritz! The beautiful restaurant is right where the cathedral and Casa Menotti is. Ask to see the fountain in the courtyard.

Avevo già programmato con mio marito una consumazione in questo bar, ai tavolini del quale ho visto tante volte seduti i protagonisti della fiction "Don Matteo". Ero preparata a spendere una somma molto alta, ma in realtà i sei euro richiesti per un servizio ad un bel tavolo colorato all'esterno  per un caffè  e un bicchiere di Lemonsoda non mi sono apparsi esagerati. Oltre alla notorietà, ho considerato anche la particolare ubicazione, davanti alla bellezza maestosa del Duomo. Anche in altre città, in bar in posizione così centrale, si spende sempre un po' di più. Io e mio marito siamo stati serviti con sollecitudine e cortesia da una signorina, ma ci siamo trattenuti a lungo a chiacchierare e a scattare foto. Non volevamo quasi alzarci tanto stavamo bene! Non era per noi un bar qualsiasi: avevamo assaporato già prima di mettere piede a Spoleto la gioia di sederci lì! L'esterno, vicino a Casa Menotti (la caserma della fiction), è suggestivo nella sua semplice ed elegante semplicità: oltre a molti tavoli, vi è anche un divanetto davanti alla porta d'ingresso. Prima di andare via io e il mio consorte siamo entrati per andare in bagno. Il gestore, persona garbata e gentilissima, ci ha permesso di ammirare e fotografare le tante immagini di artisti che, nel corso di molti anni, hanno partecipato al Festival dei Due Mondi. I had a glass of wine and some pasta. The view is spectacular and you really pay for being in such a lovely place. I paid cubierto but got no bread or condiments so was pretty pricey as a result, maybe this is normal in Umbria. The pasta with artichokes and sausage was good and wine good too.
