I am is so full of happiness thinking about my time at Trattoria Rusticana da Lisetta—it truly was the most wonderful dining experience during my three weeks in Sicily. Lisetta, the owner, and her lovely staff welcomed me with such warmth and kindness, it felt like stepping back in time to one of my childhood family gatherings. The food was so fresh and so authentically prepared, it brought back memories of my late mother’s home cooking. When they learned I was a Sicilian-American, they told me to relax and enjoy my meal, saying, “You’re home now.” Those words wrapped around me like a warm hug, making me feel so welcome I could hardly bear to leave. We arrived here during our short trip in Siracusa. It's a small family restaurant, with a very intimate atmosphere and very good food.

We had some fried sea food and fish as a starter, that were accompanied by some fried vegetables with a sweet sour sauce that was simply amazing. Also, the pasta was amazing, very flavoured and tasty.

Non ero mai stato in questa trattoria. Io e i miei familiari ci siamo trovati li a pranzo per caso. Dopo esserci seduti, in attesa di ricevere quanto ordinato, do un’occhiata alle ultime recensioni e ne scorgo alcune molto negative. Inizia il pranzo, tutto buonissimo, e man mano che mangiamo penso alla cattiveria delle persone, che senza motivo scrivono fesserie, denigrando il lavoro e la professionalità di chi fa grandi sacrifici! Non conoscevo il gentilissimo proprietario Giovanni, ma posso dire con assoluta fermezza che smentisco ciò che ho letto. Ripeto, cibo a base di pesce ottimo, la pasta ordinata spettacolare (vi consiglio la siracusana davvero squisita!), ma tutto molto buono, come lo è stato il prezzo. Qualcuno nelle precedenti recensioni si è lamentato persino per la cucina a vista in sala. Mah, semmai è al contrario, perché ci dovremmo preoccupare quando non si vede!!! Tra il personale c’è Matteo, il quale ci ha servito e consigliato con grande professionalità e gentilezza.
