We went there based on the reviews and 10 consecutive years Michelin recommendation stickers, but oh boy... The disappointment after being rejected without reservation the first day, made us go again thinking the food must be amazing, despite the state of the place. The atmosphere (no music), the lightening, the cleanliness...we discarded with hope - the food must be awesome. No. My husband had tasteless mussels and equally plain risotto. My bresaola was fine, but the penne with raw bacon in some store bought tomato sauce, served as home made "maccaroni" were JUST EDIBLE. I'm sorry, but for just edible, i dont go to a restaurant. We were 6 and this restaurant saved my day. I made reservation of a packaged tour with boat, entrance to isola bella/isola madre. After bringing all my family on the spot i realised I made stupid mistake by reserving isola bella near Milano instead of in Sicily. On the way back to the parking we decided to have the lunch at this restaurant and the restaurant gave us a separate area downstairs with great view facing Isola bella. There were other tables in the area but we happen to stay couple hours with no other guests. The food was excellent at reasonable price in my opinion.
