Belvedere dal Teatro Antico — Attraction in Taormina

The Theater itself is amazing to see and experience the views from that breathtaking location.

However, there were drawbacks. First, there were simply too much people inside at one time to experience it properly. But that cannoy be avoided today I guess. What can however is charging FULL PRICE of 12 euros to see the site that is covered with a HUGE stage, stands and changeing rooms behind the stage and to the right of it. Concerts are well and good but keeping a full price and not caring that people are unable to actually SEE important parts of a site is just ... wrong. As an archaeologist I was looking forward to this a lot and it was a let down...

The most amazing place to visit.

Despite some damage and theft over the last 1000 years it is just an amazing place.

The ability to build something so high in such a space is staggering.
