I am not one to ever write a bad review on a business but this place was horrible. My family got coffee and pastry’s here and were sitting in front enjoying the sun and eating their pastry, I came and sat down with them with my girlfriend. She was eating a snack she had just bought from next door and suddenly the owner a very foul looking man came over and told us we have to leave. I was astonished he literally stood infront of the table waving his finger telling us to leave. Keep in mind my family spent a very generous amount of money on coffee and pastry from this guy. We continued to stand infront of us telling us to leave forcing my mother so chug her coffee and wolf down her pastry. If you are a tourist or visiting from out of town avoid this business at all costs I’ve never been treated this poorly in my entire 25 years of eating at restaurants. Also btw the pastry was horrible and I’m from America saying this. Anyways enjoy your time in Italy !! Just STAY AWAY FROM THIS...
Read moreWe ate at this cafe twice during our stay in at the Panoramic Hotel nearby. Food is good quality and very reasonably priced. Our first visit was for lunch after we had checked into our hotel. We shared bruschetta and antipasti plate together with a couple of Aperol Spritz. We sat outside on the small terrace in gorgeous sunshine and we both felt immediately relaxed and on holiday. The outside seats are a little noisy as the tables arer only feet away from the main road, however, I dont think this detracted as it was part of the charm of the resort. We ate here a second time on our last night as heavy rain meant we didnt fancy making the trip to Taormina. We had a simple meal and quite a lot of lovely local Etna wine. I had a delicious sicilian pasta dish and my wife and a ciabatta sandwich. Finished of with a couple of gelato we had a great evening and as I said the price was very reasonable. Thanks very much for a...
Read moreDined here on three occasions during a recent stay in Mazzaro/ Taormina. Great value for money in an otherwise rather pricey area. Superb 'homemade' food, a good range of beverages and excellent service. You are made to feel very welcome and valued. The place may not have the ambience of some nearby establishments (warmer lighting could easily improve this) but the quality of the food, the value for money and the level of service makes it somewhere we wanted to return to - and recommend to others. Other customers also clearly looked as if they enjoyed being there. A lovely part of our Sicilian experience. Big thanks to all the Ai...
