L' Alberata — Restaurant in Tarquinia

Well, we were right to walk past the restaurant wherever everyone else was crowded in and going a few more paces to L’Alberata. The signora who waited on our table was delightful even before she suggested the local white wine, which is amazing. Everything here sis amazing, including the house appetizer (a beautiful platter of eggplant with fish, octopus, fried cake of fish, and a couple of other items) and the main courses which included my risotto alla pescatora and my travel mate’s grilled octopus. We ate here twice on a recent visit to Tarquinia - once for lunch and once for dinner. The food and service are both excellent. Everything is very fresh and well prepared. The seafood was not overdone and vegetables tasted as if they had just come from the farm. The location is lovely. They serve the locally made wine which we enjoyed. Absolutely authentic Italian food and atmosphere. We had a wonderful date with my husband here and enjoyed sea food and local vine.
