Came here today for my birthday with 4 other ladies. We ordered pasta with salmon & rocket and pasta arrabbiata which was al dente (perfect) and very tasty. Unfortunately one of us ordered a Carbonara which tasted of pure salt. The lady in question likes salt and salty food in general, but this was so salty it was completely inedible (she did try a second bite but it was terrible). We politely asked to send this back and were met with ‘you’re still paying for it’ and a rude attitude. I advised that we will not be paying for something that’s not edible and asked to speak to the manager. He came out and was EXTREMELY rude, saying you don’t understand Italian food and this is in fact just the cheese, he said this is not his fault and spent a few minutes shouting at me which was completely unacceptable and shocking. It was my birthday and I was so upset I was shaking, so we of course paid the FULL bill including the inedible food, and left as soon as possible. Please do not insult our intelligence, or treat other customers in a rude manner, we travel to various parts of Italy throughout the year and enjoy Italian food from different regions. We know when the food is too salty. Such a shame that they could not just be polite and treat the customer normally when I was calm and polite. I’ve NEVER experienced this attitude or anything like this at any restaurant in the world (1 or 5 star). Does the owner not understand basic standards of customer...

If you sit on the terrace of a roadside café bar you should expect traffic!! You can sit away from the road or indeed inside the establishment. Sitting on the terrace gives you views of the Lake And of the mountains on the other side. It's beautiful and picturesque but there is traffic because you're not the only person who wants to see this breathtaking area of lake Como. I don't personally think that the prices of the food here is expensive and it's basically 'horses for courses' . The food is good And the staff and owners are attentive, friendly And helpful. With a good selection of food and beverages. We will be eating here again before we leave and I also think that of all the cafe bars in this area...

This was my wife and I’s favorite restaurant during our visit to Lake Como! I think its a must go. The only con is the road can be loud at times due to people speeding by but still in a beautiful location. The staff was very knowledgable, nice and spoke great English. What does all the talking is the incredible food. Every dish we had was executed very well. We can't stop thinking about the spaghetti with tomatoes and basil, it seems so simple but they let the ingredients sing. The duck was one of the best ducks I have ever had. How they present the dishes is Michelin like. If you are in the area you need to go, you...

Do not get their pizzas! The Margherita pizza here was one of the worst I’ve ever had. There was no basil, (maybe dried oregano sprinkled on top?) the bottom of the pizza was somehow floppy and colorless and yet dry at the same time. Stick to the pasta here, it seems to be the better option. This was a pretty sad end to a long travel day, and a mediocre start to Como. (I apologize for the 1 slice of pizza pictured, half was already moved to my fiancée’s plate.)
