BEST MEAL I’VE HAD IN ITALY!

Me and my family have been in Italy for 11 days. We visited Rome, Florence and Lake Como. This restaurant was a short walk from our hotel and it was our last day in Italy before returning home to the USA, so we decided to stay close for dinner. I’m SO glad we did.

We were actually going to eat somewhere else but they were full and the kitchen closed in an hour. So we stopped here, looked at the menu and saw they offered a wide variety of dishes and pizzas.

I got the traditional lasagne (I’m a lasagna snob and this is the best lasagna I’ve ever had), my husband got the lemon ravioli pasta and my son got the meat filled ravioli with butter and sage. You should’ve heard us after our first bites. “Mmmmmmm, omg…” Everything was phenomenal!

We ordered the Marinara pizza too and split it. Again - best pizza we’ve had in Italy. It’s a nice thin crust with a delicious red sauce. We added cheese to it for a couple bucks (do it).

Oh, almost forgot. I ordered the house red wine and again, it is my favorite wine. Not spicy, not sweet, goes down smooth. I’m not a wine drinker at all, but this was GOOD! 🍷

Man, I wish we found this place sooner.

The food? Absolutely outstanding! Every dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and beautifully presented. We tried the homemade pasta, fresh lake fish, and the tiramisu — all of which were simply divine. You can truly taste the passion and authenticity in every bite.

The location is breathtaking, with a lovely terrace that offers stunning views of the lake. It’s the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a peaceful lunch while soaking in the beauty of Tremezzo.

Our mid week lunch time visit began with our orders being served twenty minutes apart - so not a good start (there were only two of us so not a complicated task to get this right) My chicken tasted like a piece of cheap processed frozen breast from a budget supermarket, served with a long life tinned sauce and flavourless tinned mushrooms. The noise of the traffic from the road was intrusive, while I understand this is beyond the control of the owners, it is worth noting if you are considering dining here. The only reason this isn’t a one star review is the chips (they had run out of rustic potatoes) were unusually good.
