Da Spillo — Restaurant in Treviso

Piqued by this pizzeria, I went in. It was claimed as authentic Neapolitan pizza, and while I do not argue with the claim, I do argue on the quality. Simply put, it is a good pizza but miles away from the taste that it has in Naples or, even in good pizzerias in most European cities. The dough lacked flavours (I have a levain at home for cooking pizza myself and know how a flavoured one should taste like). Nor was salty enough, but that is debatable. Pizza could have been cooked a tad longer and had slightly more oil on it. The tomato sauce disappeared under the ricotta, which was not even that flavorful. For the prices asked, I had better pizzas in Warsaw or Krakow, without any claim of authenticity.

The service was good and attentive. The ambiance is simple and modern. Nothing perticularly wrong with this pizzeria if the pizza was closer to what a proper pizza tastes like. But it is, so...

Basta venire qui! Al centro della città in Borgo Mazzini comodi comodi con ''decinaia e decinaia'' di parcheggi a disposizione per poter posteggiare comodamente la vostra auto e fare quattro passi a piedi e gustarvi una pizza in compagnia in un locale accogliente e pulito.

La pizza semplicemente Super Top ! Quella col cornicione alto, stesa a quattro mani  con un profumo indescrivibile ed irresistibile di pomodoro e basilico😋😋😋 l'impasto è super digeribile. Tutti i prodotti per preparare e condire le pizze sono di prima qualità .... ....la mia pizza preferita è bufala con melanzane fritte a funghetto,spettacolare!

....oppure fritta : ...con ricotta,pancetta e pepe nero! ...una nuvola,leggerissima!

Fatevi conquistare anche dalla frittura all'italiana come mozzarella in carrozza arancini e crocchette di patate tutto rigorosamente preparato dalle mani del pizzaiolo Beppe , mani capaci di produrre anche una pasticceria tradizionale napoletana semplicemente sublime come il babà o la  pastiera, ma provate anche il babàsu, eccezionale! Anche le birre sono buone.

Farei le pizze solo un po' più grandi,ma perché sono buone😋

Il personale è simpatico gentile, disponibile ed il servizio è veloce.

Lovely welcome, great food, great value for money too... But felt unwelcome by the staff. I was treating my brother to a weekend away watching some rugby and wanted a good Italian pizza of course!

The first male waiter who arranged our table was lovely. From there on it seemed that we were an inconvenience. The older waitress was just uninterested and the young one working walked past about 7 times when I was trying to get her attention, purposefully ignoring me.

The food is lovely, prices are great! But be prepared if you don't look Italian enough you might not...
