With the girls off for a night on the tiles Paulicarus brought me here for a big beer. (Fohrenburger..from Austria) The large red sign even says BAR. The next door eating area was full / tables reserved. Famous place for pig served every which way. (Same furniture so think same owners?) Lots of outdoor space for us to find an empty table. We had good and friendly service. Once again huge scoobie snacks..a big bowl of potato chips and a large jar of salted peanuts. Seems a nice place. Big Austrian beer 5€. Prosecco 4€

Very good vibe at first, english speaking waiteres, order went well, problem started after we got our food. One plate was not what we have ordered, tried to ask for rectification, waiteres refused to fullfill our reqest so we had to eat what we got. Also some of menu Items were not avaliable. Quality of food is mediocre, nothing to stop for really. Not enught salt and pepper. I reccomend other restaurants, away from main square. Lot of turist traps based on improper manu/clear pricing around there.

A lovely stop in Trieste town, At Giovanni’s — it won’t let you down. We came a large and lively crew, They found us space and saw us through. With smiles wide and service kind, English spoken, peace of mind. The food? Just beautiful — no need to shout: Lasagne, sardines, and salads throughout. The calamari crisp and light, And gnocchi with a plum-filled bite. A sweet surprise, a touch of flair — You'll find some magic waiting there. Very bad, when I fished my meal, the waiter asked me to pay inside. Then I found that the bill was higher than what I ordered, I asked the boss, he talked with me in Italian, I told him that I don’t understand, he just kept talking in Italian.

Then I showed him what I ordered, he started to make another receipt to me without saying sorry. Then I found that he can speak English.

Very bad experience, very dishonest, I have been to Europe many times, it never happened, I won’t go there again.

Please check your bill before paying. I saw the previous comments, it happened to other customers too. It really gives me the bad image...

THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT NICE! I've just spent a week in Trieste. 3 days in a row I came here for my afternoon espresso, seated outside. On my 4th visit, I was completely over charged for the exact same thing. When I asked why, I was told it was because I sat outside. I explained I have been outside previously. They then both ignored me and waited for me to go away without clear explanation. I feel I was deliberately over charged because I do not speak Italian well. This spoiled my enjoyment of...
