I hadn’t seen this bar the previous time that we were in Trieste a few years ago, so last time we were in the city, a few months ago, we stopped for a quick HH drink.
They are located on a pedestrian zone right in the center of the city and usually crowded, but that also has very particular views, if you like historic areas. When you sit on their outdoor patio (like we did) you have on one side part of a church built in 1825; on the other side you see the rest of the pedestrian area sidelined by old buildings, at the end of which you see part of a hill with a castle dating back to 1436!
We had a couple of glasses of wine and “spritz Aperol” (that’s how you call “Aperol spritz in Italian), which came with olives and chips closed in a small hermetic jar! (I liked that idea).

English speakers are welcome! We had the opportunity to be attended by the bar manager who is amazing! He told us the meaning of the bar's name and he welcomed us in a such amazing way. We tasted some great Italian wines (the wine cell is not only large but very well equipped too, with very good wines from different part of Italy) and different types of delicious salted tarts.
The waiters are kind and very well prepared.
What else? The external part is settled in a no wind area and this detail in Trieste is very important. Inside, have a look to the wood tables decorated with gold leaf and combined with blue Italian leather chairs.
Lovely, stylish, Made in Italy...

Spotted this corner bar a littlle futher up, with seating to the side. Very limited seating inside. Paulicarus ordered Aperol Spritz for himself and Madge. They came with two screw top jars of scoobie snacks...one potato crisps and t'other with olives. ( very meaty and salty ....good trick to make you drink more ). We had good service. Madge liked the facilities. I like a slightly stronger Aperol. Got a ticket / docket for 2 drinks...so pay...
