We were deceived by the positive reviews online. Unfortunately, the only positive element of our visit was the pizza which was very tasty, but not enough to distinguish this restaurant above others, nor to warrant the poor service.
Firstly, we ordered red wine which was delivered ice cold, unusual for red...
We then ordered fried calamari as a starter (antipasti) to share, yet we were later charged for the "Secondi Piatti" of calamari which was described as coming with a "contorni". When we addressed this, the woman argued that the fried vegetables that garnished the calamari were in fact the side dish... There were perhaps, 5 strips of fried carrot, a couple slices of pepper and a couple slices of courgette... all in all, the dish was tasteless, small in portion and overpriced at 15€. The woman was unfriendly and even seemed irritated by our question. We had also ordered pizza at the same time, which took over half an hour to arrive. We asked the waiter how long we would need to wait, as we had a train to catch. He said that they were busy and could pack the pizza for us to take. Perhaps a kind solution, but not a justification for the length of time we waited.
We had no cutlery and had to retrieve some from nearby tables, and we were not asked if we wanted more drinks after our glasses were empty.
Star given deservedly for the pizza quality, but...

As we went early, no waiting required for a table and waiter who spoke English made it easy to order. Food came fast and mussel soup was amazing with mussels enough for the whole village. The marinated anchovies likewise equally delicious. On to the mains of tagliatelle bottarga which was tasty but rather salty (some lemon to cut through the saltiness would have made the dish excellent rather than good) and the cod fish (which was not as unctuous as they serve in SE Asia so less to my liking ). Excellent local wine selection recommended by the waiter to pair with the food and overall a good experience for non-Italian speaking customers at fair cost. By the time we left, the restaurant was full of locals which seemed to reaffirm our earlier recommendation...
Read moreWe walked through the street and found this restaurant. The food was very good and priced fairly but rather on the expensive side. But you get your moneys worth with the size of the portions. We changed our table, we first sat inside and then asked to get a table outside when a table freed up. What we later found out is that we got a 4€ charge for the table change, which we wished would have been communicated with us prior. Additionally the waiting time was rather long. Still the food was very delicious and we would recommend the place for good and fresh seafood. (Would recommend sitting outside since the inside isn’t air...
