Imperatore - Champagneria & Vineria — Restaurant in Trieste

Lovely seafood experience there at this restaurant. It is a very cozy restaurant with super nice staffs, all of them were super helpful with us, specially on the wine selections part, we were clueless but the staff was nicely explaining with me and even showed me many different wine for me to choose to match our courses. And also for the food choices was super wide. We were five of us, we mostly ordered half of them. All food was coming fast and fresh, even mixed decorated. When we were eating they are still constantly coming over and ask us if we need anything else or anything they can assist with, which was very very very sweet. Even though it was very busy at that time, I could easily see that the are treating every of their guest like us, super nice and helpful. I will fully recommending their fish tartare, very soft and juicy fresh. Also they shrimp and prawns. Very creamy and nutty which is great. For their mai course I would love to say the Spaghetti are wonderful to choose. Desserts I would say they are very heavy. If you want something light. La qualità ha un costo proporzionale al suo livello, e qui la qualità dell'insieme è mediamente elevata. A partire dal servizio svolto dal personale cordiale e competente, per arrivare all'originalità a e alla preparazione dei piatti proposti, passando per l'atmosfera calda e accogliente che permea l'ambiente ben arredato con un ottimo connubio tra moderno e antico. Però una chiarezza maggiore sui prezzi non guasterebbe. Il menù riporta solo i taglieri, non esiste una carta dei vini, e non si ha idea del costo dei piatti elencati a voce. Il risultato è che non è difficile finire per spendere più del previsto. Senza contare che quando ci si accinge a cenare, scorrere la carta dei vini è un piacere, oltre che una necessità. Il menù permette di spaziare tra una buona quantità di taglieri di mare e di terra, piatti molto adatti per un aperitivo al tavolo, ma anche un ottimo antipasto se si è deciso di cenare. I piatti a seguire, come già specificato, non sono scritti sul menù ma elencati a voce, e molto probabilmente variano di serata in serata. Tra questi è possibile optare anche per le crudità di mare. Dopo un tagliere di pesce a base di affumicati ho optato per dei ravioli di pesce col sugo impreziosito dal sapore di agrumi. Buoni, ma come spesso accade con la pasta ripiena, la porzione era un po' sottotono (un po' troppo a dire il vero). Discrete invece le porzioni dei piatti degli altri commensali a base di pasta di grano duro. Notevole la scelta dei vini, bianchi e rossi, ma il punto di forza di questo locale sono le bollicine, per cui vale la pena gustare la cena con una delle tante bottiglie "spumeggianti" di cui l'enoteca dispone. E qui è importante ribadire che una carta dei vini è indispensabile, affinché il cliente conosca il prezzo di ciò che si sta apprestando ad ordinare. Sarà anche possibile chiederlo al momento, ma indubbiamente chiunque converrà con me che si tratta di una pratica alquanto antipatica. Dolci all'altezza, tutt'altro che banali e contraddistinti da un delizioso mix di sapori. Il mio semifreddo al pistacchio era delizioso. Alla fine con due bottiglie di Ribolla Gialla abbiamo speso 270...

A lovely place with a surprising interior decor that probably carries the heritage of days past.

The menu is short and non conventional. Ingredients are common ones but they are served with a twist, making the offering interesting.

All the food was good.

For a place called "Champagneria" I would have expected more selection of champagne but honestly, we would have not needed more.

Personnel has an interesting sense of humor.
