Emotion Cafe — Restaurant in Tropea

Hip and happening spot for drinks on the Piazza Vittorio Veneto in the heart of Tropea’s old town. Cocktails were fantastic, and the huge apertivi platter that came with them was amazing. I didn’t even believe they were free/included with the price of drinks until we settled the bill. Good quality, too. They do not cheap out. Our server was good but super busy. The bartender is great. A lively place, great for people watching, also quite loud. The only thing I didn’t like was that there were lots of tables crammed together, so even though it’s outside, it’s in a covered area and the people at the next tables felt too close. Weird during a pandemic, and with people smoking all around, causing mouthfuls of cigarette smoke for me, a non-smoker. Suggest taking out a couple of tables to make the experience more...

Conosciamo questo posto da diversi anni e abbiamo deciso di portarci i nostri amici (dopo averlo decantato perché trovati sempre bene). Esperienza da dimenticare, non mi sento di consigliarlo a nessuno. A tutta la tavolata (5 persone), arrivano i cocktail tranne ad una persona che aveva ordinato un normalissimo “Negroni”. Dopo 40 minuti di attesa dalla prima segnalazione e averlo fatto presente altre 3 volte a 3 camerieri diversi, il Negroni ancora non arriva. Deciadiamo così di andar via chiedendo il conto e specificando di levare la consumazione mai arrivata ma messa in ordine nella comanda, e ci viene risposto: “ancora non è arrivato? Ve lo mando subito!” La nostra risposta è stata ovviamente di NO perché ci siamo sentiti presi in giro con le continue risposte: “sta arrivando!”, “lo vedo eccolo è pronto!” Per non parlare delle persone in attesa del tavolo, sorpassate da altre persone incuranti della fila che c’è da fare, che semplicemente si siedono dove trovano posto e lo staff non pensa di riparare all’inconveniente, ma ignora totalmente chi aspetta ancora in fila (avendo lasciato il cognome e il numero di persone)e inizia a servire chi è entrato di prepotenza. Consiglio di rivedere tutta l’organizzazione interna perché così fate solo grandi figuracce e la gente...

It's pretty okay I guess It's not one of your classy bars but it's a place you can have fun . it's clientele is kind of ish but who cares, the cocktail is average as long as they don't change the barman or he learns new recipes lol (just saying 🤷🏾‍♂️). The staff is super nice tho plus they play house music almost all the time so that a win for me but the (cocktails)...
