Almondo Nuovo Trattoria — Restaurant in Turin

Even there were 2 free tables outside at 21:30, the blonde old lady who gets the reservations, made us waited for 30minutes for a table eating their dolce and vino! Why??????? Because, According to her, the other 2 tables were reserved! But no one came! But we waited for others leaving the restaurant. At the end, I told her to make us sit the free table, and make ready other table when they leave. She totally burnt out! Come on!! You can’t make stand people for 30 minutes waiting in the restaurant for the ghost...

Had a lovely meal, the food was truly excellent. We started with crocche as an antipasto, followed by the tajarin alla Monferrina and umbricelli fave e pecorino for our primi, then grissinopoli as a secondo, all paired with a bottle of white wine. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The only downside was the slow service, we waited quite a bit between courses, which took away from the flow of the meal. Pranzato oggi su consiglio di mio figlio,previa prenotazione. Bella location in centro,che si affaccia su piazza Bodoni. Il locale è spazioso,accogliente,pulito,arredo semplice ma funzionale,tavoli spaziosi con comode sedie,possibilità di mangiare fuori,tempo permettendo,anche se è coperto dai portici. Il personale e' gentile,giovane, competente e attento alle esigenze del cliente. E una trattoria certificata AIC per chi e' celiaco o come me ,intollerante al glutine,quindi si può spaziare dall'antipasto al dolce. Abbiamo ordinato vitello tonnato,( buonissimo ,morbido,la salsa era ben bilanciata e non copriva il gusto del vitello ) come secondo,Guancia brasata su di un letto di fondo bruno e purea...STREPITOSA!!!fatto anche scarpetta con pane senza glutine.Due dolci,caprese scomposta con crema servita a parte e pastiera napoletana. Gioia per il palato. Il tutto accompagnato da un buon vino rosso Corvina consigliato dal personale di sala. Ottime materie prime e buona la cura e presentazione dei piatti.Complimenti allo Chef e alla eventuale brigata. E per finire nota di merito al caffè. Prezzo nella media,magari consiglio il secondo leggermente piu abbondante. La trattoria e' comodamente raggiungibile anche con i mezzi pubblici se non si vuole usare l auto,o a piedi anche per chi arriva da fuori torino in treno, perché si trova proprio vicino alla stazione di Porta Nuova.
