I was lucky enough to be invited to this restaurant for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is itself quite unassuming, simple and to the point, but with a refined sophistication. The walls are decorated with, among other items, interesting pieces from wooden wine boxes. I guess this is a nod to the extensive wine list on offer, which is like a heavy bible, offering wines of all types, both local and international. Lorenzo, who I understand is one of the partners, was our server. a most knowledgeable and friendly man. We were offered an "amuse bouche" of blue cheese before our starters arrived. I went for the foie gras. The plate consists not only of a liver pate, but the liver itself. Delicious with the raspberry vinaigrette and dressings, sandwiched between toasted bread with walnuts and raisins. I chose a "primi" as my main course - duck filled ravioli with edamame peas. That was enough for me, considering the time of day. The meal was accompanied by a flavorful Pecorino - dark yellow in color and very earthy. Friends at the table ordered desserts (see attached photos). A fantastic experience - highly recommended. How this restaurant does not have any Michelin stars I don't know! I look forward to when I am next in Torino to...
Read moreI am big lover of italian food, I was not aware that it was possible to ruin italian food. The intention of doing well was obviously there and the effort was appreciated but it was so salty that it left me with a headache for the whole night and following day. The beef cheek seemed like it was made the day before and was accompanied by what looked and tasted like simple ketchup. I thought I was back in the 90’s when it was trendy to just do a brown sauce in a shape of a circle to make it seem like a gastronomical restaurant. Cold atmosphere and snell of cleaning product. I could feel it since the beginning but decided to give it a chance anyway. Dessert was really disappointing as well with store bought white chocolate drops. The only thing I can say something positive about are the rabbit tagliatelle that were home made but extremely salty also. Sorry, I am sure that the chef worked hard and tried to make elaborated dishes but really the simpler the better sometimes, always actually especially in Italy with the quality of raw...
Read moreOne of the best tasting menus in Turin! Price quality is excellent and the portion sizes are perfect ( not too small or too big) . They have 2 tasting menus - one for 60€ per person and one for 45€ per person. We got the 60€ per person ( 6 courses and 1 dessert ) and it was totally worth it! Absolute must try !
The second time visiting Turin, we tried the regular a la carte menu in 2 and we spent 99€ eur in 2.
An highlight is the duck - that besides from being cooked to perfection, had the most delicious sauce and side dish accompanying it .
The staff is super attentive and friendly. They have a good selection of national and international wines and distilled spirits.
The restaurant is centrally located, only a few minutes from the train station and the main shopping street in the city center.
Parking is available...
