Read moreThe restaurant has a high rating but it was disappointment. The bad experience started at the moment of booking. We were passing by one hour before opening and stopped to reserve a table outside. They said they could not guarantee as they do on the first come basis. OK - we made an effort to arrive on time and luckily got a table outside. The waiters were not friendly, you did not feel they were trying to please you. it took a long time to get a menus. For Primo my husband had the Tajerin with ragu. It was different to what we had before - rather thick and not as tasty as we were expecting. My troffie pasta with seafood was OK. For the Secondi we both had steak sliced in thin pieces. We asked for medium but we both had well done. I had the impression that the restaurant spoilt it's reputation. That was our last evening in Turin and it was such a dissapointment, such a difference to the dinner we had in Solferino Torino the...
Read moreMy absolute favourite restaurant in Torino during the 3 months i've lived there and traveled around northern Italy. Daily fresh made pastas that looks simple but tastes straight out of your "core memory of having an Italian nona cook you home made pasta dishes" (even though i'm south east asian lol). The menu does change from time to time so you might have one pasta dish that you absolutely love and crave to eat the next time again, only to find the whole menu line up have changed. But it does provide me with some opportunity to try something else (which i desperately need as a person who sticks with only that one thing that i like from the menu 😅). Talking about that, the restaurant is also english-friendly, looks very very cozy and nice, the waitstaff also super nice and accommodating, and they really know their wine pairings with pastas. Will definitely come back here again just for the sake of reliving fond memories...
