With this review I'm not gonna tell you to not visit this place but just wanted to share my experience so that the restaurant and people would be aware. Me and my friend are travelling and are not from Italy and that was not a problem until this restaurant. The whole experience felt like they were treating us unfriendly and almost trying to humiliate when we actually didn't do anything wrong. We just wanted to try out the restaurant since there were many good reviews about it. We didn't have reservations maybe that was the problem but instead of telling us that they don't want us here they just let us sit so the reservations are not necessary. Then the waiter came with two glasses of wine (we didn't request any alcohol and we don't even drink that) and gave the degustative menus. We came here only to try out gnocchi so that was strange that they didn't offer the regular menu with the degustative one. Luckily the other waitress was friendly and was okay with bringing us not the degustative option. Then as we waited for our food more customers came and they were welcomed more friendly than us (they didn't have reservations too but spoke italian) and the waiter asked them which type of alcohol they would like and even filled their glasses with water (for us he just brought the bottle to fill them up ourselves which isn't a problem just the difference with other customers made it strange), then he randomly brought us antipasti which we didn't order as it was "usual" but we don't eat that and we didn't order it in the first place so that was strange as with the glasses of wine. The gnocchi were not the best we've ever got so the food didn't uplift the situation. Then after that when we asked to pay they took a long time to bring us the check and when we asked to pay with card they took even longer to bring the check. At the end of the experience it seemed like waiters started to act nicer towards us but it did not look genuine so it was all a big disappointment. Overall, did not like the experience, the atmosphere or the food so personally we would not recommend visiting here but maybe it is just...

Osteria del Frate, located in the vibrant city of Torino, transcends the traditional definition of an 'osteria'. This place is more than a mere dining establishment; it is an embodiment of warmth and familiarity, reminiscent of visiting a cherished aunt or a close family member. The moment you step in, you are welcomed into an atmosphere that resonates with homely comfort and inviting charm.

Our culinary journey at Osteria del Frate was an interesting one. Rather than adhering to a fixed menu, we decided to entrust our dining experience to the expertise of the kitchen. We asked for the best they had to offer, and the results were stunningly delightful. The staff served us a full course meal, replete with various dishes that had been thoughtfully curated and skillfully prepared. Each course was a revelation, not just in terms of flavor but also in its presentation and the unique story it seemed to tell.

However, the allure of Osteria del Frate does not merely lie in its culinary prowess. Undoubtedly, Italy is filled with places that can satiate your appetite with good food, but it's the soulful connection that sets this osteria apart. It's about the heartfelt hospitality that pervades the entire dining experience, making you feel right at home. Here, the people are not just servers but gracious hosts who go above and beyond to create a sense of belonging.

What was equally surprising was the value for money. Without revealing the exact amount, let's just say that what we paid for two full course menus, complete with water and wine, was astonishingly reasonable. The pricing might seem unbelievable given the quality of food and service, but it's one of those experiences that you need to witness for yourself to fully appreciate.

All in all, Osteria del Frate isn't just a place to dine, but a place to immerse yourself in an authentic Italian experience, from the food and the ambiance to the congenial service. It's a place that captivates not just your palate, but also your heart. I sincerely hope you get the opportunity to witness this delightful gem in Torino...

The magic of Piedmont, Italy, came alive at Osteria del Frate, through its robust traditional menu that serves culinary excellence at an astonishing value. Each dish we tried tasted like a piece of regional heritage, handcrafted to perfection, brimming with flavors as rich and diverse as Piedmont itself.

In terms of service, Osteria del Frate excels equally. The staff was quick, efficient, and cordial. Our dishes arrived promptly, and any queries we had were met with warm smiles and knowledgeable answers. They made us feel at home, amplifying the overall dining experience.

As for the pricing, Osteria del Frate truly surprises. Such excellent quality of food and service at a very reasonable cost is a testament to their commitment to providing an accessible, outstanding gastronomic experience.

In conclusion, Highly...
