Tastuma Cheese & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Turin

The quality of the products is ok but the service is really bad. The waitress did not know the difference between the types of Piemonte's wines (although they have 4 or 5 types of Barbera del asti and, remind that, it is a wine bar). We told her that we didn't speak italien and she told us to translate the menu on google traductor. They were also very slow and they completely forgot us. After more than 40min, they didn't came to check if we would like to order anything else regarding food or wine. We tried to call the waitress a couple of times but they didn't even look at us. Devo dire che purtroppo è stata una pessima esperienza. Fidandomi delle recensioni positive siamo andati con amici una sera per cenare . L'impatto non è stato positivo fin da subito perché il locale era praticamente vuoto, però l'aspetto faceva ben sperare, quindi abbiamo deciso di fermarci. Devo premettere che il coperto era inesistente, non c'era neanche una tovaglietta sul tavolo.... almeno una di carta ce la aspettavamo visto il prezzo del coperto. Abbiamo ordinato una patata con formaggio e olive senza pomodori secchi. Abbiamo chiesto di poter scegliere il formaggio da utilizzare con la patata e abbiamo scelto il caciocavallo. Ci è stato confermato che non vi era alcun problema per la sostituzione. Una volta arrivato a tavola il piatto ci siamo accorti, avendolo assaggiato, che il gusto non era quello del caciocavallo. Abbiamo chiesto se fosse stato utilizzato il caciocavallo come richiesto e la risposta è stata che avevano usato un altro formaggio perché il caciocavallo non poteva fondersi con la patata, in quanto un formaggio troppo solido. Questo lo posso capire, ma almeno avvertire prima di portare il piatto in tavola sarebbe stato giusto, anche perché il formaggio utilizzato non era di nostro gradimento, in quanto era troppo forte per i nostri gusti. Abbiamo poi preso un tagliere di formaggi misti. Al momento del pagamento devo dire che abbiamo pagato una cifra eccessiva rispetto a quello che abbiamo consumato. Inoltre sullo scontrino non era scritto il dettaglio con il prezzo di ogni prodotto ordinato ma solo il totale. Locale...

We were staying just 50m away from this place and went in for an apéro at 6.30pm on our last night. It was fully booked (Wednesday night) but they let us have a table which was booked at 8pm, and we had time to share a bottle of wine and a delicious cheeseboard with about 10 cheeses on it.
