Going to this place was a tip of our hosts... If you are in Pienza you must go to this Gelateria! Not only the owner is unique but also the different tastes. The owner takes his time with every customer, explains very well and you can really see that he loves what he is doing! The tastes vary from pesto ice to rice and of course also chocolate and tastes one might expect. Even though one cannot believe that Pesto Ice-cream can be good, it definetly is at this place! The price is totally OK and the product is of exceptionally good quality. The best ice cream I have ever eaten, even my Wife, Fräulein Sahne was impressed and it is really hard to get an ice cream for her, she has nothing to criticise about.

I cannot recommend enough Buongusto gelataria. Had two visits to Pienza in 2017 and 2024, and each time I had to have two servings on arriving to the town and before leaving. That simple. The gelataria is found in a calm and lovely street, and Pienza itself is seldom crowded. The gelato is just wonderful, light, flavourful with special flavours not found everywhere. Back in 2017 I had tasted their amazing strawberry mint that wasn’t there in 2024, but replaced by a curious and quite working almond lime option. Service is swift...

This is the best little gelateria in Pienza! My husband and I stumbled upon this place as we were walking around the town and I'm so glad we went in. The owner Niccola was such a pleasure to talk with! He creates such unique combinations of gelato and really enjoys his customers.
