Questo ristorante offre cibo cattivo e maleducato servizio. Evitate questo posto a meno che non si desidera che la serata rovinata.
The service was extremely slow, we had to wait 1 hour for our main dish. Pasta that costs €30 was tasteless, barely edible. The waitress/waiter were rude beyond belief.
The waitress recommended "spider crab penne". But we HAD TO order two at a minimum, that's €15x2=€30. Apparently it's MORE convenient and lucrative for the restaurant this way. The customer's preference for choice is much less important.
The €30 pasta, after 1 hour of waiting, was the roughest brown penne, in a huge pile, over an empty crab shell (for decoration only), with no crab meat whatsoever. We couldn't eat it after only a few mouthfuls.
When we complained, the waitress was not only unapologetic but very aggressive claiming this is the way it's cooked in Venice and we were impolite to complain.
The dreadlocked, bearded waiter was rude beyond belief and literally pushed me out of the place AFTER I paid the €59 bill.
This is by far the worst dining experience I've had in Italy or anywhere.
Avoid this place unless you want...
Read moreThis was truly one of the most disappointing dining experiences we had across Italy. First of all, this place is very expensive! And the excuse that Venice is expensive doesn’t work, there are plenty wonderful places half as expensive as this restaurant. The portion size and the quality doesn’t justify at all the price. The food was ok at best and their frittura mista priced at 42 euros for two people (which we’ve had across Italy for 20 euros at most) was 70% fried sea weed, 20% fried vegetables and 10% fried fish. The house wine was again, the most expensive we’ve ever had in Italy, at 17 euros per litre. We’re never paid more than 10-12 in the more pricey establishments.
Food aside, the waiting time was rather long and the waitress seemed extremely annoyed and demotivated. I understand she maybe had a bad day, but she shouldn’t pass it onto customers. At least 3 other tables were complaining about her rude remarks, to the point where one table went in the back and requested another person serves them.
Overall, this wasn’t a good experience and I’d suggest you save yourself some time, money and nerves and go...
Read moreI went through all the remarks and decided to go anyway. And I though I would have a bad experience at first. That's true the intro was a bit rude but I discussed a bit and it's quite simple: the food is really freshly made so you must play the game and as soon as you know the rules it becomes an authentic venician experience... and it's awesome. Some advices: don't order too much: we ordered 3 antipasti for starting and we were almost full. We couldn't finish the secondi piati. Next time we will share secondi piati too. make a clear reservation at least a day before be there a bit before the reservation time In other words, give respect and respect is returned. And giving respect start by understanding the culture it could start by speaking the country language (at least trying) or accepting and following the food habits. Here you can tell them what you like and let them choose for you.
Thanks guys for the great food experience and the kindness...
