The pub was not very accommodating at all. I made sure to visit the pub the day before and 2 hours before our intended visit (to watch the Champions League Final) just to avoid any problems. I let them know I would like to come to sit down for some drinks and watch the champions league final and they said it was fine but I should make sure I come early enough to get seats.
My friends and I enter the pub as the game was showing in a couple of hours and the first red flag was that they put as in a secluded section of the pub (even though there was more space throughout the pub for 2 friends and myself) and it smelled vile! It smelled as if someone had urinated on themselves and stayed in it for hours. It smelled absolutely terrible. My friends and I were desperate to sit somewhere in a pub environment with the lads to watch a good final so we stayed.
Before we could even sit down properly we were pressured to buy drinks. I asked for the menu and no longer than a minute after we were given the menu, we were asked again about drinks. My friends ordered but I still was not sure so I asked the waiter to come back. As my friends ordered, I noticed that they wanted the payment straight away but did not do the same to anyone else but I did not realise till later. Anyway, we notice the manager coming in and out huffing and puffing towards us. Eventually, he asked me if I’m ordering anything and I said yes but I am not sure what just as yet (no more than 10minutes after staying there). The manager kept saying we need the table, bearing in mind I can see the rest of the pub through the door and there is a lot of space. So to calm him down a bit, I ordered the same drink as one of my friends. The other one and ordered some beer and I am not a major fan of beer. The match does not start till 9pm in Italy and it was 7:45pm at that time. I had the intention of buying loads of cocktails closer to kickoff
Two people next to us had move and I went to sit where they were sitting and the manager came in and shouted “I didn’t tell you to sit there”. I was confused because that’s no way to speak to customer, regardless, I got up and moved. As I moved, the manager muttered “how many iced teas do you want”. Whilst all of this we noticed that we were the only ones receiving this kind of treatment. Many people came in after us and yet we were the only ones pressured to buy drinks and received disgusting treatment and I 100% believe it is because we were POC which is unfortunate. It ruined my day because I had the plan of spending the finals in a pub around other football lovers. Instead, I had to leave because I felt so uncomfortable and walked for a good 20-30mins in the thunderstorm to get to the nearest bus back to my hotel. I also ended up...
Read moreI visited this pub on a Wednesday night. The location is fairly accessible. The ambience is satisfactory. However, the staff working here really, really, really needs lots of training of social interaction, basic etiquette, client interaction and general F&B service. I was literally sitting there and having my drink and minding my own business, but the waitress and the waiter / manager kept fretting and frowning at me / giving me looks the entire time. They made me pay for each drink immediately after I ordered it, in contrast to three Caucasian men sitting beside me at the bar (they asked them to settle up at the end). There was no food available, because the kitchen was closed, so I asked for some chips. And I asked the waitress what all flavors of chips you guys have, to which she replied very rudely for God knows what reason. Now comes the worst part - When I was paying the bill using my card, the waiter / bartender literally came to me and said "Cash is for men, cards are for p*ies" and left. The waitress then proceeded to say - "If you pay by cash, that means you're tipping us, but if you pay by card, that means you're not tipping anything and you're a piece of st." I was shocked to the core and awestruck as to how ignorant, dumb and racist can someone get. I was going to leave a tip anyway in the end, which I did. However, I'm going to spread this message to as many people as possible and will ask them to never visit this place. You do not deserve to be in business if you cannot provide your customers with the most basic respect that they deserve.
Food - N/A Drinks - 3/5 Ambience - 2/5 Service - 0/5 Overall - 0/5

Read moreHad a very bad experience. We are travellers from New Zealand and turned up to watch the All Blacks rugby game after ringing to check that it was on. We bought a couple of drinks, and then we were asked to leave unless we were going to buy more drinks as they needed tables for other people (although there were still many tables free and nobody waiting without a seat). I went to buy a drink so we were able to stay and finish watching the game, but the staff member refused to serve me half a pint saying I needed to buy a full pint. I'm not a big drinker so I wasn't too keen to buy a full pint. He was very rude and claimed that I must have a lot of money because I'm on holiday. We decided to leave and go somewhere else to finish watching the game as the service was horrific and we didn't want to spend our money in a place like that. We did not feel at...
