Old Wild West - Venezia Strada Nuova — Restaurant in Venice

Don’t go here. Me and my wife got intoxicated here. We went here last night, thinking to change from the pasta and pizza. Big mistake to not read about it before on tripadvisor or google. Place seems nice. Service is super basic. My wife decided to go to the toilet. And literally came back and said no one can even step in there, its do bad. The waiter outside saw her, and said is it bad ? To which she said yes. But they did nothing about it. We should have known then. I ordered the pulled chicken bbq burger, she ordered the regular chicken fillet. Burger was slightly warm thats it. Chips were cold. We were hungry after a long day out, so we ate and left. Both of us haven’t slept all night. With stomach ache and vomited like 3 times. No matter what the restaurant will “look into”. It wont change. Since i read up a bit thinking was it a one time thing or is it usual. And its just their normal standards. I guess they survive cause of the new tourists incoming all the time. Do yourself a favour and don’t even risk eating here. Try something else somewhere else. This place isn’t worth risking it! Normally never give out bad reviews. But dont want anyone to suffer as we have. Enjoy...

We came to this bar with some expectations as it's highly rated on google and came out quite dissapointed. Let's begin with positive points: good location, interesting interior style and drinks were brought faster than in 5 minutes. And that's it. Not so positive points: staff and service was more or less normal (although no one suggests you to repeat your drink or offers you a dessert) but service fee of 4,4€ which is charged in the final point without informing about it anywhere was absolutely unacceptable. It means, if you are coming for light snack and one drink, 20-30% of your bill will consist of service fee. Food quality would say was lower than average. Keeping in mind burger prices start with 8€ they don't fit with the quality you get. In my opinion, it's better to stick to local food and if you want some burger, you can go to some Burger King style place and get almost the same quality for lower price. I'm giving 1 star as this place seems really overrated so to give more realistic view. In other case it would be 2, maybe...

I visited the Old Wild West today and it was okay.

The mixed starter was hot but very fat.

As main course me and my company tried the Indiana salad and the rack of spare ribs..

The salad was a little bit disappointing because on top it seems like a plain salad and they even bring you oil and balsamico for it but underneath there was a lot of cocktail sauce that made the salad way too fat, even they used very high quality vegetables to make it.

The ribs have been well done but I would say they can do it better. They served dipper fries to the spare ribs and I need to say they know how to make nice ones !

The waitress was very friendly but we had some misunderstandings when we ordered the drinks. Still a very nice service and he tried to fullfill every wish.
