He left my friend in tears! She had ask what type the chocolate looking one was and he said pistachio and chocolate, she then order that one. Without her realizing, he had scooped her regular pistachio and gave it to her. When confronted politely about it being wrong, he refused to fix his mistake and demanded that if we wanted to right one we had to pay for a second even though we had said he can throw the one he originally gave us out himself. After a second confrontation, we translated what we were saying into Italian for better communication and he refused to read. I was in shock as this place has amazing reviews

To his reply: none of us wanted straight pistachio. She asked for "that pistachio one" and pointed to the one she had inquired about. I did not make other fake profile as I only have one email. The fact that he is this worked up about asking for the correct flavour after a simple mistake is mind blowing to me. We had simply stepped a foot outside the store and we noticed that she got it wrong and went back in for the correct one. Nothing but poor costumer service in my opinion. Also would add that none of the "fake profiles" you replied on are fake. You were asked by one of our friends if 5 bad reviews were worth a scoop of ice cream (mainly joking) then proceeded to yell at him that you get a million of tourist that will eat it without complaining any day. Plus, it was not eaten, by the end of us trying to get the correct one because she was so excited, it was basically melted, not eaten. Started with miscommunication but ended in a...

THE BEST GELATO WE’VE EVER HAD. Seriously. The Doppio Cocciolato and Hazelnut (forgot Italian word) are our favorites - but we have also heard great things about the pistachio + chocolate. Owner is friendly and helpful, prices are extremely fair and portions are generous. 20/10 recommend. You WON’T find better gelato. Anywhere. We’ve tried 3 places in Venice and 2 in Barcelona. Bacaro is a mile higher than the rest. I will be shocked if we ever find better. Don’t waste your time on any other gelato places.

After looking at all the amazing reviews we decided to try the ice cream ourselves. We walked our feet off for 20 minutes until finally arriving at the ice cream shop which we couldn’t find. We looked around for some time until we finally found it. To our disappointment it was closed, however on the website it said that it would be open till 11 and we came there at 9. After the big disappointment we went to the wine shop next to it. We took a desert wine which was outstanding until we came home and my dad got sick. This means that this ice cream shop is not reliable and neither is the wine...

If Heaven Had a Freezer, This Is What’s Inside ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bacaro del Gelato… I don’t even know where to start. The dark chocolate gelato with pistachio cream wasn’t just good—it was a life-altering, “I’ve-seen-the-light” moment. I’m pretty sure time slowed down and a choir of Italian angels started singing as soon as it hit my tongue.

The dark chocolate was rich, intense, and perfectly bitter-sweet, like a romantic Italian love story. The pistachio cream? Smooth, nutty, and decadent enough to make you wonder if you’ve been living your whole life eating fake pistachio. Together, they formed a flavor combination so divine that I briefly considered proposing to the cup.

My only regret—my greatest regret—was that I didn’t go back for more. Now, I’m destined to spend the rest of my life wandering the Earth like a gelato pilgrim, searching in vain for anything that comes close to this masterpiece. Spoiler: nothing will.

We didn’t just eat ice cream today. We had a revelation. Somewhere between the crumbling romance of Venice’s alleyways and the sun softening on the canals, we stumbled into what can only be described as a temple of flavor. One bite — one single bite — and the world stopped. The texture? Like velvet had a love affair with chilled cream. The flavor? As if the ingredients were handpicked by Italian gods on a good day. It didn’t just melt in our mouths; it whispered childhood memories, kissed us with summer, and reminded us that life is meant to be felt with all five senses — and maybe a sixth one, dedicated solely to gelato. We looked at each other mid-bite, wide-eyed, speechless. A shared moment of pure, unfiltered joy. It was the kind of ice cream that makes you resent every other dessert you’ve ever had for not being this. If you ever find yourself in Venice, go. Run. Crawl. Teleport if you must. This isn’t just a place to eat gelato. It’s where your soul gets a little happier.

I would give a eight stars out of five rating if I could. I cannot understand how I could live before since today was the first time for me trying it. I saw the light when I tasted it. The only gelato in Venice (among other 2 delicious places) i’m happy to pay 4.50€ for (2 scoops of icecream equivalent to 4 and loaded with whipped cream). As a gelato estimator I love when the first thought grabbing an ice cream cone is “where do I start? This is too much!”, and the young lady who served me surely lit this question in me. I highly reccomend the chocolate pistachio and the peanut salted caramel flavours. Looking forward to come back for the white chocolate. Thank you, a truly life changing experience.
