RUDE AND ARGUMENTATIVE STAFF MEMBER!
I visited this restaurant recently and was shocked with how rude and argumentative one of the staff members were towards me. I was told that the restaurant had fresh lobster and so I ordered the Fettuccine with lobster for €25.00. When I received my meal it looked and smelt delicious but when I tasted it, the lobster was not soft but chewy and I physically couldn’t eat it.
When I went to tell the member of staff that could speak English, I was told that I don’t know what I am talking about and that in his 20+ years of working there, he has never had a complaint and that his lobster is fresh and that fresh lobster is supposed to be chewy. At this point I was still trying to be polite even though he wanted to argue and shout, but told him that I have had fresh lobster quite a few times now and are fully aware that fresh lobster is not supposed to be rubbery or chewy.
I ended up asking if I could just swap my meal for another pasta dish and he agreed. I don’t know how it works in Venice but I have never heard of paying for a meal that I physically couldn’t eat due to the chef’s cooking. In the end he had put the lobster fettuccine on the bill and after saying that it was my problem and not listening to what I had to say, I ended up just paying for it even though I really shouldn’t have. Personally I would NEVER go to this restaurant again because of how rude he was and I just want to make...
Read moreOverall pretty bad experience. Our view was the construction site and we really wanted a nice view for our first day in Venice. Not to mention the seats were filthy and the table was sticky. THIS PART IS MAINLY FOR TOURISTS WHO DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT HOW THINGS HAPPEN IN VENICE!! We arrived at this restaurant in hopes for cheaper food options and ordered the margarita pizza, fish and spaghetti. The fish was € 29 which was really expensive for a tiny piece of salty and fishy fish. The pizza and spaghetti were nice on the other hand and a pretty good price too. However when receiving the bill as a tourist I was truly shocked. The meal had costed us € 68 and they added a 12% service fee. It was my fault for not realising the fee but I find that having to pay 12% more for a meal that wasn’t worth it horrible. So DO NOT forget to check the service fee so that you don’t get ripped...
Read moreWe decided to go to this restaurant as it is close to Venice's famous pub "Il Santo Bevitore". The waiter was very friendly - suggested a table that we did not like and so he offered more options till we had the table we found ideal. The menu was multilingual and included several Italian Craft beers. The food we choose was not chosen as the Italians would order it - but the waiter assured us that one of us could start with pasta and have fish as a socond order while the other had salad with seafood and spaghetti with seafood afterwards. All that was served in the right order and within reasonable time - but most of all in perfect condition. Price was € 100 plus a 12 pct service charge - so no need...
