Caffè Diemme — Restaurant in Venice

I really hate writing this review, but I cannot understand why the lady boss felt that it was okay to charge us more on account that the prices have changed and that the menu was outdated. This was not conveyed to us before we ordered or before we ate; no, this was only when we wanted to pay did she tell us that the Cafe Macchiato was 1€ more and every pastry was a few €/cents more.

Pastries and coffee are okay. Nothing impressive but for the original prices they are pretty good. She was also pretty friendly to us which made me really regret having to write this review.

What the lady boss did just felt scammy to us. And whether what she said was the truth or not,...

They had options to provide a vegan latte (ask for latte macchiato with soy milk, for example), and also had a vegan brioche with orange jam, it was amazing and a perfect start to the day (the creamiest coffee I've ever had)! Thanks to the kind lady for asking if we needed something to eat, and helping us get something vegan even though it wasn't specified on the menu, and we didn't speak the...

The place is ok, the girls behind the counter were very friendly but unfortunately the coffee was not good at all. Maybe it’s us that are used to specialty coffee and thought that’s what we were going to find there.

If you want to get a coffee here, get something with milk and maybe even add some sugar.
