Grande Giove Cocktail bar — Restaurant in Verona

A discreet, very small cocktail bar. Upon entering, a waiter with a mustache didn't serve us. He wasn't very friendly and lacked customer friendliness. It takes a while to serve, perhaps because there's only one waiter at the very small bar. The basic accompaniment to the drinks is chips, peanuts, and breadsticks, in small quantities. They don't provide napkins. A year ago, it was better; they served you with more friendliness and care. The place is a bit run down, with stained and dirty walls, rust on the doors, and a shabby-looking floor. The music is great, with great musical taste. It would be much better if the walls and upholstery were updated and cleaned. Reasonable prices, an rare alternative clientele. Not for the sophisticated crowd. This place seems to be killer place amongst locals who are into cocktails. A tiny spot serving cocktails and wines you can hardly find in places alike. Very uncommon place. I enjoyed the very local wine, some sort of Malvasia, thanks to the bartender Francesca, who seemed to be a pro when it comes to sophisticated cocktails, try the one which should be her Signature, she calls it “Garden of Eden”....

Easily the best spot in Verona for drinks: the cocktail, wine and beer list is very well chosen; the interiors and atmosphere of the bar is relaxed, dark and warmly lit and complements the fantastic service throughout.
