We had room 1 with lovely small balcony for one week. Effortless check in and lovely to find water and a good bottle of Prosecco waiting in the fridge. Plenty of coffee pods. Unusually there is a kettle if you prefer tea.||The location was unbeatable being a ten minute very pleasant walk over the lovely river into the historic centre. We loved the walk and the views down the river with so many ancient landmarks and monumental churches. We could have stayed a month and still had much to explore.||Nicola, the super super host, explained the locality perfectly. We were totally immersed and lived like Veronians, buying gorgeous bread and croissants from the bakery around the corner, shopping in the farmers market for lovely fresh fruit and vegetables, amazing cheeses and everything we needed including the local wines so reasonably priced. |the apartment is equipped with everything we needed and we did cook two or three times because it was fun to do so listening to La Traviata to prepare for the opera we were there for with the balcony doors open. You will hear a lot of church bells which we adore.||When we did eat out there was so much choice and we took Nicola’s suggestions and were delighted. We loved though, strolling home, to go into the ice cream shop at the end of the street so much choice and some milk free choices.||We totally loved the apartment, beautiful bed linen changed every 3 days, luxury towels every 2 days.||The 16th century building is bagged with atmosphere having been ever so sympathetically restored by Nicola himself with a contemporary twist but the evidence is there with those frescoes and timber ceilings. ||Nicola was more than happy to arrange our dinner reservation and taxis to the arena for the opera and also a very early taxi on the day of our departure. Everything went like clockwork.|We found Nicola to be a perfect refined Italian gentleman with very good English and really one of the most hospitable hosts we’ve come across and we’re are very well travelled.||We really want to return to this home from home. It...
Read moreWe stayed in the Superior apartment in July, located on the 1st floor of the building (stairs up, no elevator). Our host Nicola was friendly when meeting us, even when our delayed flight made us run late for the key exchange. Overall, we were satisfied with the stay. ||The room was very spacious for two and the atmosphere was rustic and romantic in the very right way. The bathroom didn’t quite carry on with the theme, but otherwise the apartment was very nice. The views from the balcony were not that impressive, but the balcony made a nice touch to the apartment. The air conditioning worked well. We liked the location very much, since it was a walking distance away from Verona city center and all the main sight seeings. Also walking to the main train station was easy. Couple of supermarkets and good pizzerias were pretty close.||Few things to notice/improve: |It would have been nice to have some sort of a small table on the balcony for sitting down and having ie. a drink. The apartment didn’t have a iron. Also, I think the apartment would be even more cosier if it would have more smaller corner lights/lamps that would give some soft, warmer light in the evenings. Now the very bright, big lamps don’t quite compliment the overall atmosphere. The street was quiet at night, but the apartment had a poor sound proof: you could easily hear other residents talking and stomping in their apartment in the upper floor, luckily we had neighbours that stayed quiet...
Read moreI have been travelling solo around Italy throughout May and this was the best (even though it was the cheapest!) accommodation I stayed at. Firstly it is exceptionally clean, very well designed, comfortable, safe and in an excellent location. Excellent value for money. To elaborate:|Clean - everything is spotless, feels like home.|Design - designed by an architect, very aesthetically pleasing with original frescos but mix of modern furniture. Exactly like the photos. |Comfortable - mattress is clearly quite new and very comfortable, bedding is high quality, towels, seating area and kitchen very comfortable. Feels like home. |Safe - apartment has high tech lock system and Verona in general feels very safe. The host Nicola was also very helpful and responsive. |Location - is excellent in my opinion because you are in a residential area with the locals, you are far enough from the city centre to avoid crowds but walking distance to Piazza della Erbe and Piazza Bra area. The closest bridge which gets you to the city centre was under renovation during my stay however this is no problem as there are 2 other close by bridges. I recommend exploring the Ponte Piatra bridge area with many nice restaurants. |I would recommend this apartment to anyone and would...
