Ristorante Pizzeria Liston da Barca — Restaurant in Verona

It seems to me that some of the reviews were bought, as I do not agree with the current 4,2 ratings as of April 2023. This place is nothing special, it is only average rather expensive city centre restaurant aiming on tourist I would say. Starter: Italian pastry was good, local bruschetta was also good. Main: Lasagne very average (nothing to say wow, Italian food in Italy really tastes great), pasta was the same. I can admit that pizza at least look good. Dessert: Tiramisu was the worst I ever ate, the cook should go to the nearest church to confess, because this was a sin. Wine: House wine was good. Staff: Unfriendly, supervising the tables playing with pen annoying all guests clicking the pen, they did not ask if we were satisfied, which just confirms that they simply do not care about guests who they most likely never see again. 5 of us stopped here for lunch. Unfortunately we were on a study tour so we only had a very short time for lunch. The reason I say "unfortunately" is because the pizza and salads we had we soooo good! We wanted to take our time and enjoy the food.🙂 The pizza is had was capricciosa, the topping was plentiful and the artichokes superb. The service was very efficient for the short time frame we had. Best food in Verona. Situated just a side street back from the Arena and well worth finding. Very reasonably priced, great service, lovely wine and simply gorgeous food. We started with prosciutto sharing platter, this blew our minds it was so tasty. After that I had meatballs and again wow what a taste sensation. On top of the great food the wine was scrumptious.
