From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were treated with warmth and kindness. We had actually been searching for a different restaurant with a very specific menu that had recently closed, but instead of turning us away, the staff here welcomed us in with open arms. Thank goodness they did, because what followed was one of the most delicious meals we ever had!!
Let’s start with the food!! Wow. The chefs are Absolute magicians!! They made us a custom freshly handmade, not on the menu gnocchi with four cheeses, right there on the spot! It was rich, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and clearly crafted by people who take immense pride in their work.
Our waitress, Amini, was an angel. Genuine, attentive, and beyond helpful, she treated us like family from the start. She made sure every detail was perfect, guided us through the menu with patience and care, and checked on us throughout the meal.
If you’re lucky enough to be nearby, please, do yourself a favor and visit!! This is more than just a place to eat! it’s a place to feel cared for. Thank you to Amini, the brilliant chefs, and everyone who made our night so memorable. We left full, grateful, and smiling...
Read moreThe experience was terrible. We ordered a quarter bottle of wine, and along with it came two ridiculously small pots, which looked like doll toys, containing potatoes and peanuts. They placed them on the table without saying anything, and along with the ordered wine, anyone would think these were complimentary.
The food we ordered to come second came first. I pointed out that it wasn't supposed to be served first. Then they brought the dish, but it was wrong too. The food we ordered to come after the Poker Bruschette, the Patissada del Caval, came cold and tasteless. The waitress was more lost than a tourist without a map.
In the end, the bill came with an extra charge of 5€. We discovered that the ridiculous pots with potatoes and peanuts cost 2.50€ each. I questioned it because I'm not from here and nothing was mentioned. They simply came with the ordered wine.
The restaurant acts in bad faith with its customers, charging for less than 10g of peanuts and potatoes that they place on your table along with your order.
It's absurd, and everyone should know never to set foot in this place, a level of dishonesty I've never seen in...
Read moreAfter being charged over €56 for essentially just a small breakfast/brunch, 4 coffees and a small bottle of water I can honestly say I wouldn't bother with this place again.
Although I don't really understand the coperto charge I do accept this as every country has their own customs - in this case it is part of Italian history and isn't limited to just Verona.
I did find €5 for two of us to sit down a bit steep, but this would have been more pallettable if the bill hadn't been stupidly overpriced. I checked on their website afterwards and the cappucino should be €2.50 (so €5 total), as opposed to the €8.40 charged. The Poker bruschette is advertised as €6.90; we paid €11.90!
I suspect the other items on the bill were also overpriced; €4.00 per americano.. Coffee is normally amongst the cheapest produce in Italy.
To add insult to injury we had a 10% off voucher which, (looking at the receipt)...
