In response to your unfair reply, I need to clarify the following points.
Although we walked in to your restaurant, we also asked beforehand whether we could have a seat and you agreed that we could enter. This was an agreement we had reached in advance. I asked for the wifi password because the wifi signal in your restaurant is not good. I think this is a normal service. Also you saw one of us got the hot chocolate, it was an empty cup from which we drank it, and since we couldn't find a trash can on the street, we had to take this trash into your restaurant.
The most important issue is the food itself, We ordered two steaks. When the waiter took the order, he was not professional and left in a hurry without asking us how rare we wanted it. We wanted to find a waiter, but unfortunately everyone was very busy. , I looked for the manager in the picture, but he just waved his hands indifferently and did not listen to anything we said. I can understand that the manager is not responsible for this aspect, but since your waiter did not do a good job, I think the normal logic is to find the manager. We finally found a waiter and told us that the steak we wanted was medium rare. The waiter agreed, but the two steaks that were served were both well-done and could not be chewed. Shouldn’t the dishes be returned or exchanged in this case? Everyone in the world has the right to ask for this, and we were told that the two steaks were cooked well and requested to be returned. But you were still in a hurry and didn't want to hear my appeal, so you probably didn't hear it. Let me add that there were four of us, and only three of them only tasted a little bit of the meat, which was not what you would call a half-eaten dish. Finally, please don’t use colored glasses to think that customers come to your restaurant just to play games. I love food. Although I am just a passerby in this restaurant, I will respect everyone. Unlike the manager of this restaurant, who is full of discrimination and disrespect. I have traveled through many big cities in Italy and have never encountered this manager's behavior. His behavior may bring a stain on the city. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We are foreigners visiting this city, we entered this restaurant and ordered two steaks, the waiter said they were medium rare, but when we took a bite after they were served it was one of those quick frozen, very hard and fully cooked steaks. We approached the person in charge of the restaurant, but the waiter didn't admit that there was something wrong with the food and said that we weren't suitable for this restaurant and asked us to leave; the signal was not good after we entered the restaurant and said that we asked the waiter for the wifi password from the time we entered the restaurant and that this behavior caused them problems and that they felt that there were too many people who provided this kind of "service". The manager said“I feel that there are too many "services" provided.” These comments are written to condemn the unprofessional restaurant manager, whose photo is shown here, and to give some warning to future visitors considering this restaurant. Written for Christmas 2023. I hope that the world will be a less discriminatory and unjust place, with fewer self-righteous and arrogant...
Read moreWent to this restaurant due to the good reviews, though was worried that it might not be too good being down a side street from the Arena. Past experience of restaurants located so close to a major tourist attraction have mostly been bad, but in this case we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at the restaurant.
We were checking the menu outside and a waiter kindly invited us in and he was our waiter for the evening. It helped that he spoke very good English so it was easy to order, though we did try to at least give the Italian names of the dishes.
To start we had the Cozze e Vongole (Mussels and clams sautéed) and Coda de bue (Oxtail and vegetables). The mussels were a little salty but the husband likes that, if you don't like salty food avoid this one. The Oxtail was yummy and if there was a main course version I would totally have gone for that.
For the main we had Ravioli di peche (mixed seafood raviolies) and Tagliatelle in Finferli (Tagliatelle with Chanterelle mushrooms in a parmesan shell). Both dishes were very good, the parmesan shell was a little too rich to finish off as it's very salty. Also, I didn't let the sauce soak into it long enough to make it soft enough to cut easily. Our waiter also recommended we add some pepper to the raviolies and he was spot on as it gave the already good dish that extra pop.
Of the desserts the Maron Glacé (Candied Chestnut, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream) was the better of the two desserts we had. The Semifreddo al Cafe (Coffee Semifreddo and whipped cream) was okay, but nothing to write home about.
Being November there were few people in the restaurant, as it's the off-season for tourism, so it meant the restaurant was pleasantly quiet and allowed for quiet conversation.
The decor was done very tastefully and the staff were very friendly. Definitely...
Read moreIf you're looking for a delicious pizza in a prime location, look no further than the Ristorante Nastro Azzurro. Located just steps away from the famous Arena di Verona, this cozy pizzeria offers a wide range of mouth-watering pizzas made with fresh, quality ingredients.
What really sets this place apart, however, is its exceptional service and beautiful seating. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. They are always happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions you may have about the menu.
The seating is also a highlight, with both indoor and outdoor options available. If you're lucky enough to snag a table outside, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Arena and the bustling Piazza Bra. It's the perfect spot to people-watch and soak up the atmosphere of this lively square.
Of course, the real star of the show is the pizza. The crust is perfectly crisp and chewy, with just the right amount of char. The toppings are all fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. Whether you prefer classic margherita or something a bit more adventurous, you're sure to find something to love on the menu.
Overall, I highly recommend Ristorante Nastro Azzurro for its great service, delicious pizza, and beautiful seating. It's the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner with friends and family, or even a...
