The most ungrateful restaurant owners!
Since I’ve found this restaurant late 2021 I’ve been going there frequently until one day I tried making reservations for lunch or dinner and got turned away 5 consecutive times, my visits there have reduced. I can never customize a dish because she says no too much work for the kitchen. You cannot order take outs, she said they don’t accept that anymore. One of my friends who dined in wanted to order extra to go, but was told no because “we don’t do that”.
Linda, the owner and the only waitress at the restaurant picks and chooses the customers she wants. She’d turn anyone away if no prior reservation was made even if there are open seats at the restaurant. I’ve brought and recommended numerous customers and instead of her gratitude I got something that I totally not anticipated.
Google maps indicate they open at 12:30 for lunch. Whatever reservation time you want to make, she’d push it back by 15 minutes. My most recent experience there was for a party of 7, split checks. I made the reservation 3 weeks prior and ordered beforehand to make it easier for her. Everything seemed fine until I tried adding one more person and everything went downhill. She told me by adding one person she won’t accept split checks because it’s too much work for her. I asked if she can get the total, and I’ll do the breakdown but she said, you have the menu you do it. I ordered each dish, and she wrote it down and told me to review it. I’m paying to be served at the restaurant but I’m also doing her job of calculating our total and proofreading orders for the kitchen!
No matter how tasty their food is, she shouldn’t treat her customers like that! I’m boycotting her and I encourage you to not bring your business to her. Go to Ristorante Cinese Gui Lin instead. Their service is good at a fairly...
Read moreEasily the best Chinese restaurant in the city center of Vicenza. In Italian it's called "cicchetteria cinese", which roughly translates into "Chinese snacks": however, it's a full-fledged restaurant and you'll find most of the traditional dishes in the menu... and they're extremely good! Particularly recommended the Shao Mai, Wanton soup and garlic noodles (but really, everything is good). Prices are low and the portions large enough, but really, the quality is what truly stands out. Nice, quiet and cozy both inside and outside, very close to Piazza dei Signori (5 minutes walk with a full belly), it also has close parkings. I live nearby, tried it once and now I'm a regular customer 🙂 I definitely...
Read moreYou are taking a risk if you go out of your way to get food there. They close for lunch at 3:00 p.m. We tried to phone for a reservation but they did not answer the phone. So we rushed to town and arrived at 2:25 p.m. and the owner said we could not come in, it was too late. So today my husband went early (1:45 min before closing time). He arrived at 1:10 p.m. to get take out but the owner said she was to busy to take his order. He told her he drove 20 min to get there but she said "too busy, too busy." So, 2 out of 5 times we were turned away with no food. We will look for...
