Bacaro della Pizza — Restaurant in Vicenza

Excellent spot for "una taglia della pizza" and "una birra". The staff in here are very friendly and serve up great slices of pizza and these wonderful little balls of heaven called "Toketin" - balls of pizza dough with a "dent" in the middle filled/topped with burrata or other cheese, a meat and possibly pesto. Delightful!

In addition, the beers served here are all relatively local. We got into a conversation with one of the staff and they make trips to local breweries to determine what to bring in on the next rotation. Good selection strategy and you know it is very local stuff they are serving.

As a last note, they will also have the local Vicenza games on while they are being played, so expect a few of the regulars to be hanging out and watching. Makes for a...

I spent the whole day cycling from Verona to Vicenza in the pouring rain and wanted a coffee and a dry off. The shop looked really nice, and my expectations were met: Alberto greeted me in perfect English, gave me tips for the rest of my trip, and I was able to dry off, charge my phone, eat perfect pizza, and drink coffee. As I was about to leave, he gave me his homemade pilsner, which tasted incredibly delicious. People, go there and drink their home-brewed beer; it's amazing! Molte grazie!...

What a find! Simple place - slices of pizza and drinks. The pizzas are utterly outstanding - freshly made and delicious flavours. I recommend the tartufi and cheese. Wine's a tenner a bottle, two quid a glass and is perfectly decent. Staff lovely and...
