If I could give this restaurant 0 out of 5 stars I would. Never in my life has my family and I been so disrespected. Upon entry my family was given dirty looks by the owner as well as the staff and not seated right away despite the place being empty. When recieving our food both my uncle and my mother noticed that their food was not fresh and had been microwaved. My mother respectively told the waitress and the waitress told her she would have to pay for the price of two despite not eating anything for the rest of the night. We were very dissapointed with the quality of the food. It is mediocre at best and would never send anyone there for "authentic Italian" cuisine. Living in Italy for most of my life I know good Italian food when I taste it and that was definitely not it. When we paid the bill the owner tried to charge my mom for two pastas when despite not even being able to eat one due to them refusing to cook and using the microwave which we caught them doing to everyone's meal. The owner has a problem with Americans and it's very obvious despite Americans giving him all of his business. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a dog let...
Read moreWe travelled with our Italian neighbour who is a fussy pizza eater (connoisseur for one of a better word), he was reluctant until we finished the pizzas we bought. The seating outside at the back provides a lovely ambient setting, the pizza dough is lovely, not salty and doesn’t absorb any grease and someone will find their perfect pizza given the choice of toppings. The translation of the menu into English leaves something to your imagination, but with an option of having “mothering-law sauce” on a pizza, why wouldn’t you try this wonderful hidden gem slightly off the beaten track. Would definitely go back if in Vicenza again and certainly won’t bother trying anything else when the pizza here is so good. Keep up the good...
Read moreWe LOVE Vesuvio. The pizza here is the best, I recommend you make several visits to try all the different options. If you’re not up for pizza, they have burgers and pasta (lunch only) and a few other options…. But seriously, get one of 40 different choices of pizza! The owner and waitstaff and super friendly, and speak great English (so if you’re reading this review in English, that should relieve some worry). I’ve honestly never had a bad experience here. Be aware: the pizza comes out HOT, and the cheese is like melted lava, so I like to let it cool for a minute before I dig in. The worst part about this place is that I want to eat here every single day… but I’m afraid I’ll gain a million pounds if i do! Most pizzas...
