We are staying in viterbo for a month . In a beautiful spot next to the popes palace ! This fabulous restaurant is here ! You can sit under the trees with beautiful seating alfresco is the word ! The staff can speak English but you should also try to speak Italian as it’s very respectful! You can also sit outside the restaurant if you want be seen with beautiful views of all the piazza. The staff are amazing please ask them about the specials & the menu , they are very happy to help 10/10 . The food is truly Italian and cooked Italian . MagnaMagna is a delightful and delicious trattoria in the Centro Storico. The proprietor, Filippo, is a wonderful host and he and his staff have put together a wonderful menu of Viterbese classics, as well as a seasonal menu. Ieri sera ho avuto il piacere di cenare al Magnamagna di Viterbo e posso dire con certezza che è stata una delle migliori esperienze gastronomiche della città. Eravamo in due e abbiamo iniziato con due antipasti: fegatini di pollo e carciofi fritti – semplicemente deliziosi! A seguire, una parmigiana di melanzane che ha superato ogni aspettativa: saporita, equilibrata e preparata con ingredienti di altissima qualità.

Abbiamo scoperto che il ristorante è particolarmente rinomato per i carciofi, e dopo averli assaggiati, possiamo confermare che la fama è assolutamente meritata! Ma sarebbe riduttivo fermarsi a questo: ogni piatto che abbiamo provato era eccellente e meriterebbe lo stesso riconoscimento.

L’ospitalità è stata impeccabile, il proprietario è di una gentilezza e professionalità rare. A fine pasto, ho segnalato che il dolce non era all’altezza del resto della cena, e con grande onestà il proprietario mi ha dato ragione, spiegando che non era riuscito come al solito. Non solo ha accettato il mio commento, ma ha anche offerto sia il dolce che il caffè per scusarsi: un gesto che dimostra passione e rispetto per il cliente.

Nota di merito anche per l’olio extravergine utilizzato nei piatti: di qualità superiore, un dettaglio che fa la differenza.

Insomma, super ristorante, super proprietario, super cibo! Non vedo l’ora di tornare per assaggiare i dolci fatti come si deve....
