I had heard a lot about Jade Garden but had always gravitated towards more local basic dim sum eateries. We went for lunch and despite being very busy the service was good and fairly quick. We ordered classics such as pork and preserved egg congee, cheung fun and lo mai gai. I have had these many times and I was impressed with the quality here. The prices are a bit higher than more local places but still fairly reasonable. Worth a visit with friends

Slow staff, but this restaurant is usually not too busy, so if you’re looking for a Chinese restaurant and the ones inside Cityplaza Phase 1 are booked out, then this is a good alternative. Food is decent but on the pricey side. Expect around HK$50-70 per person for lunch, $150-200 for dinner. Staff don’t seem to know their own menu very well.

Most dishes are good. Very tasty abalone tarts but it's luke warm only. Shrimp dumpling was good too. But the XO sause fried rice noodles was very oily and not much XO Sauce. Nice seating. Always busy on weekends for dinner. We went on Sat after 2pm for dim sum and it didn't take long to get a table.

Although the dim sum was great (BBQ pork bun, turnip and taro cakes were excellent), the service was poor and the servers were very rude, to put it mildly. Recommend only for the food (the restaurant was packed with retired local couples, which I felt was a good sign for the dim sum quality).

Way too many tables inserted into where they shouldn't be, with a lot of very loud talking elderly people, making the place feel cheap and uncomfortable. Literally no space to pull out my chair, as there was space for one chair between 2 tables.

I thought it was a delicious meal and I liked the presentation of their dishes. The aesthetics were interesting and it made for a comfortable meal.
