Ramen Sugawara is a hidden gem in Asahikawa, especially if you’re a fan of miso ramen. The rich, flavorful broth is perfectly balanced—hearty and satisfying, with just the right level of savory depth. Paired with chewy noodles and tender toppings, it’s a bowl of ramen that truly hits the spot, especially on a cold day. The miso ramen stands out for its bold flavor and comforting warmth, making it a must-try for anyone visiting the area.

Despite being located in an old building, the shop itself is surprisingly cozy and welcoming. The slightly aged atmosphere actually adds to its charm, giving it a nostalgic feel that enhances the experience. It’s a place where you immediately feel comfortable, like you’ve stumbled upon a local favorite that’s been loved by many over the years. The simple, homey interior makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal without any distractions.

One of the most interesting aspects of Ramen Sugawara is the number of signs and autographs from famous people who have visited the shop. It’s clear that this place has earned a loyal following, not just among locals but also among celebrities. The walls lined with these autographs give the shop a unique, almost iconic feel, and it’s fun to see the signatures of well-known personalities while enjoying your bowl of ramen. It’s a testament to the quality of the food and the enduring popularity of this humble yet...

I absolutely loved the Shio Ramen! It was one of the most memorable ramen bowls I’ve ever had.

The transparent color of the broth was fascinating, especially since ramen broth is usually golden or dark. The delicate flavor of the broth was a delightful surprise - light yet satisfying and refreshing. Despite being called Shio Ramen, it wasn’t even a bit too salty!

If you’re in Asahikawa, this place is a must-visit. The flavor of their Shio ramen broth is so good that it could easily rival the best ramen bowls in Japan. I was genuinely surprised to taste such a delicate and sophisticated ramen broth that was so clear in color. It was a clever and creative way to juxtapose sophisticated flavors with a relatively...

It’s a very small ramen shop with not much ambience .i had the signature miso ramen with lean pork slices that tasted pre cooked & a tat cold, in the fairly hot broth !!

The broth was just too salty for me & had to dilute it with an equally large bowl of hot water, which was still salty but simply diluted the broth …Won’t ever come here again…. I’ve tasted better ramen in...

Tried this ramen as it was close to Art Hotel where we stayed. The texture of the noodles were perfect. The flavour of the soup was brilliant. I took the picture after a few bite as the smell of the ramen was so tempting. This was definitely the best ramen I have tried so far during our visit in Asahikawa.
