レストラン八島 — Restaurant in Asahikawa

Nice little spot hidden inside a hotel, went in because it was open late when I arrived at nearby ART Hotel. Had grilled hokke fish (very tasty) and vegetables+seafood assorted tempura (surprisingly good, better-executed than some high end places I’ve been to, was not greasy at all; they could have sent a bigger salt portion with it, I didn’t think of asking for more at the time lol). Also ordered sake, they have quite a few options that tasted nice. Menu had English translations for most of it, though reading katakana will get you more info (staff or Google Lens will help you otherwise). 以前におせち料理を頂いた折、ここの八島さんメインのお料理の数々、中でも刺し身や煮物、黒豆や栗きんとんが劇的に美味しく、その印象もあって今回はランチで。

やはり今回も期待を上回る美味しい料理が。 握り寿司はネタの旨さもさることながら、 ふっくらと焚きあげられたシャリの具合、ふんわりと握られた絞め具合は抜群に美味しい。
