I am not sure how this restaurant has such high reviews and I agree with the reviewer who said this place has bad service and is a tourist trap with average food and average prices.
I visited in Oct 2025 as a solo diner. The lady shop owner at the front of the shop was friendly at first and immediately seated me. I ordered a seafood bowl and went to the bathroom. While I was in the bathroom they changed my table to accomodate a family of 4 who came in after me. They asked me if it was okay after they changed my table, to which I said it was fine. I noticed that had the staff waited 2 minutes later, the other table of 4 existing diners next to me finished their lunch and left. So the staff created all this fuss and work changing my table for no reason when the restaurant staff could have waited 2 extra minutes.
This incident didn't bother me until 2 tourists came in later. The shop owner directed them to a table but the tourists chose to sit elsewhere. This put the lady shop owner in a terrible mood and she treated me poorly after as well. Even though I did nothing wrong and even agreed to a table change earlier.
The food was also very average tasting for the price and it did not taste any better with the poor service of the lady shop owner and one of her staff. There was also dried rice on the wooden spoon so it wasn't cleaned properly.
When I went to pay the bill, the shop owner lady tried to touch the currency exchange button for me. I know which button to press, and do not think it is a custom in Japan to press payment buttons for customers without their permission.
Do not recommend this restaurant. Very poor service. Treat your...
Read moreCame here for a quick lunch and left very satisfied. There are several rice bowl (丼ぶり) options that include tuna (マグロ), fish egg (いくら), shrimp (エビ), and sea urchin (ウニ), in different combinations depending on your preferences. I went with their mixed fish option, which had several different types of fish. I also tried the fish eggs, and honestly everything was so fresh and delicious that writing this makes me want to go back. Once you’re about halfway done, they will pour hot tea over the bowl and make a delicious お茶漬け that adds another layer of satisfaction to the meal. The price was around 1500 yen which I thought very reasonable. Nice place to enjoy some of that fresh...
Read moreI came here around which I was the only one in the restaurant. I tried the basic sashimi don, the sashimi is fresh and impressed me with different texture and flavour which I did not experience before. In the middle of the meal, the staff would provide some fish soup to mix with the rest of the rice. The soup push the meal into another level as it has rich taste of umami. I drank all of them. The chef taught me how to follow their recommended way of have the meal. But dont expect it...
