I love gin and was excited to find a gin distillery in Atami! I was seated at the bar where Takuma san kindly explained the gins and served up excellent cocktails. It was great being able to see the distillery through the glass, and I ended up trying six different drinks on my first night. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated that he helped call a cab so I could get back safely.
I returned the next night with a friend, planning to stay for just one drink, but we ended up having 5–6 each! My friend left something at the bar, and Takuma san actually met us the next day to return it. We didn’t expect someone we just met to go so far for us.
I had some unexpected free time and decided to come back again to try the rest of the menu. My last drink was a classic Negroni, and it’s honestly one of the best I’ve had.
