Sushi Waraku — Restaurant in Atami

Far less than an average Sushi restaurant. I can see they are very tight on budget and no wonder why. Store closes at 21:00, last order 20:30. Very limited selection of fish and most of them were treated as preserved way. Some had to come out from frozen.

Waiter has no care on their manners and has no ear to take an order. Chef has very short memory so they forgets what we had ordered even I had reminded twice. Lastly they had run out of the rice and we have been told to wait for another 30min for rice to be prepared in order for them to make Sushi. It was out of discussion...

Fantastic sushi that rivals what you can get in better sushi restaurants in Tokyo. The sushi chef had a long career in Tokyo before moving to Atami. The location is very convenient across from Atami Station. Fish quality & selection is excellent and they have great lunch specials. I live in Atami and this is my favorite...

The other reviews are true. The sashimi is fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly but don't understand much English. However they do have English menu. Recommend installing translation app on your phone and Google Lens...
