喫茶ゆあみ — Restaurant in Beppu

Had an unfortunately experience 7th June.

Was told by a friend about this place and was looking forward to the meal and wanted to order their Chicken Rice. It was out, so I ordered the Onigiri set instead. The ordering at the counter was pleasant enough. The meal is priced probably somewhat higher than what i usually see in Beppu. The meal content was 2 multi-grain onigiri, a small pickled dish, a small bowl of chicken soup with some chicken pieces inside. I also ordered a cup of tea. It came to ¥1,390.

What I found unfortunate was that the meal was served minus the boiled egg that was supposed to come with the meal. It is quite common for restaurants to run out of ingredients so that part was okay. What I felt they could have done better was to inform me that before I ordered. They also didn:t inform me when the food was served. I only realised on my own after i finished the meal and re-read the menu.

The second shock came when i realised the missing egg and went to ask about it at the counter after the meal. The counter staff said sorry with her service tone and went back to work. The response could have been better i think?

Not that i wanted a compensation, but they could have improve the awkward situation perhaps by offering a tea refill which is almost no extra charge to them if they re-use the tea bag cos i already ordered a tea with the meal.

Honestly, I am shocked and sad about this experience. There are so many ways to remedy the situation, but unfortunately this shop chose the most blunt way. Beppu is such a wonderful place with so many nice shops. Please continue to support Beppu and her many...

One of the coolest vibes in Beppu. Other reviews saying 1 star for atmosphere make zero sense to me. The space was tailor made by an architect and artist group and the love and care show. It's lofted and spacious with calming tones and music. An oasis of style and peace. Filled to the brim with amazing books and plants. The volume of the open space is something you can rarely get in more busy cities. Only had the coffee, but was more than worth it to slowly sip a cup and casually soak in the immaculate atmosphere. Walked out with some great local architecture books. The only thing I could imagine as a complaint is that it is a 9 min walk from the main...

何気に前を通ったらメニューが出てたので見てみるとオープン当時にはなかったおにぎり単品におにぎりプレートが新たに加わっていた なのでおにぎりとミニスーププレートを注文 おにぎりは塩むすびと梅干しだけだったので塩むすび二つにしてもらった そして運ばれてきたおにぎりは海苔巻いてやがった しかも雑穀米やんけ…orz 違う…俺の求めていたおにぎりは雑穀米の塩むすびじゃないんだよね… メニューには精米した大分産の美味しいお米を握ったおにぎりとか､別府の内成棚田で穫れたもっちり甘いお米を使ったおにぎりとか､いかにも白米で提供するような表記してる コレのどこに雑穀米と取れる要素が含まれてる？ 雑穀米おむすびなら雑穀米使用と書いといてください こちとら美味い白米を食べにしてる...
