The location of the hotel is fairly central- It is close to the mall, and the main square where the restaurants are. Our group of 12+ stayed here for three nights as part of a relaxing stop on our trip around Japan. ||The hotel staff were all very friendly and let us leave our packs behind the front desk while we waited for check-in. They also let us do laundry at the hotel and gave great recommendations for what to do in the local surroundings.||This hotel has its own onsen (one for men and one for women), which are cleaned daily and very nice. The women's onsen two pools - one inside and one outside. The inside pool has windows with a view of the city, is large and very clean. The outside pool is smaller ( fits maybe 7 women comfortably), but has a lovely view of the city below. The shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided are very nice. ||We stayed in a traditional tatami room with six people and it was large enough to accomadate us all without feeling overcrowded. The hotel staff prepared the room for sleeping every night and cleaned up the futons every morning without feeling intrusive. ||||Our stay came with a free breakfast. It was okay. Read moreThe hotel is located near the waterfront with lots of restaurants, convenient stores and shopping malls around the area. Very convenient to move around. The hotel provides free parking as well.||Check in is efficient and staff is friendly. You can get the basic toiletries (toothbrush, shavers, hair brush etc) near the front office area before you go to your room. Yukata is also available at the same area.||Room is of a decent size (for 3 pax) with tatami. The only thing is that if you are staying for only 2 nights, they do not clean the room but do provide fresh towels.||To go to the onsen, you will need to bring the towels from the room. There is a small open onsen and a larger onsen indoors. ||The staff at the front office recommended us to an Izakaya for dinner when we enquirer if there are any good restaurant around the hotel and it turned out to be very good.||To get to some sightseeing places, it is better to drive around. We drove to the Beppu Jigoku (Hell Onsen) which is about a 20-minute drive to the nearest Jigoku. It also take about the same time to go to the Beppu Ropeway by car.||We had a comfortable stay...
