Lovely little cafe that specialises in (Indian style) curry dishes - five minutes from Asami Shrine and maybe fifteen from Beppu Station. We stopped here after smelling the delicious curry smell while passing by, and weren’t disappointed! The staff are really really kind, and there’s a lovely girl who works here that can help you order in English.

We had the chicken curry and the lentil and roasted aubergine curry - for 200 yen extra, you can have two different curries on one plate, which is great if you’re not sure what to order! The shiso juice is both highly photogenic and really yummy!

Ever since we arrived in Beppu 2 days ago, we wanted to try this local Japanese curry shop, and today we finally managed to walk by when it was open (11 to 2.30pm for lunch, 7 to 9.30pm for dinner) and it was worth it! Super nice owner, who cooks herself, and really well! The meal was worth every yen. She speaks enough English to help you understand, and asks about spicy level and whether to put Koriander in (definitely do, if you like the taste!). All in all amazing experience and strong...

We think it was the son of the owner who spoke with us while we came by the restaurant, very nice guy! He told us about the new pace in broken but charming English, my gf uis vegetarian and he immediately told her what the vegan/veggy options were.
