More like a private apartment building than a hotel, it is a self-service location that would likely be better suited to tech-savvy, independent travellers. There is no staff on-site and access to the building, the check-in process and the rooms are all automated.||||I stayed on the ground floor apartment but I believe that the building does not have an elevator for access to higher floors.||||The room itself was actually very good. Even though it was a room with three double beds for three people, the room never felt cramped. With a bit of trial and error and help from Google translate, we were able to utilise the Smart TV to stream videos and other digital content.||||The room itself was also very clean and the furniture still looked and felt new.||||The hotel is about 5 mins away from Beppu Station. It is also really close to a drugstore and a convenience store, great for making those late-night grocery...
Read moreThe good parts are good and the bad parts are bad. There is no staff on hand and all of the automatic doors can be very confusing. There is no luggage storage if you show up early. Our shower had lots of issues with extremely high pressure and low temperature. Our room had a kitchen and full sized fridge as well as a small living room that made for a nice stay. It is walking distance to the station but with a lot of bags, the trip is all up hill and can take more than 15 minutes despite what google maps says.
