Donburi Chaya — Restaurant in Chitose

If you’re going for the halal food, I’m not too sure how muslim-friendly it actually is. They first showed me the usual non-halal menu, and as I looked through it, I saw some pork dishes. I then asked for the halal menu and on its first page, one of the points regarding the “halal-ness” of the place says that they don’t serve pork items in the restaurant, which clearly conflicts with the non-halal menu I had perused earlier.

Today's date 11/12/2023, the sea urchin (uni) was not so fresh, however the salmon & roe is good. The waitress who took my order wasn't friendly at all. The cashier showed me a sour face, without replying a word when i say im paying by card. The staff were very polite and attentive. They even spoke some English to accommodate us and never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. The menu was also English friendly. They immediately put our luggage in a convenient holding area so we could sit and relax while enjoying our meal. The food was fantastic. I had the fried scallops with buttery corn.
