What a wonderful surprise. We went in expecting a family style cafe and left with full hearts and a bag full of small gifts from the owner, the loveliest 85 year old grandmother you could expect to meet.
As we arrived she asked us to sign our names and leave a message in her atlas (filled with the names of other travellers) and used Google Translate to communicate. We enjoyed simple curry and rice, pancakes, fruit and salad with iced coffees and green tea.
Before we left we bought a beautiful hand-sewn miniature kimono and a simple tapestry at very very low prices. Meanwhile our lovely friend gifted us a bag of green tea, bottles of drink, rice crackers, sweets and even a little hand sewn bag with a few candies in it.
