iL CHIANTI BEACHE — Restaurant in Fujisawa

Good food but a little pricey for your average person. If you don’t care about price, the quality of food is great, so munch away!

The food is clearly better than your average restaurant where you pay around 1000 yen. The price for pasta and pizza is around 1600 yen per dish and you can taste the difference.

They have a kids menu and the pasta is around 660 yen and the kids liked it, but maybe not enough for big eaters.

The one thing is the wait was pretty long to get a seat. We came at 11:30 but had to wait until 13:00 or so to finally get seated.

Also, you can park at the big parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. If you spend over 2000 yen you can park there for two hours.

Checked it had good reviews about the food so we patiently waited for 20-35 minutes to get in. We signed on the waiting list only to found out when it was our turn, the staff showed the sign that "no visible tattoos allowed". My husband who's American was wearing a T-shirt and has been waiting inside with the 3 of us (no tattoo). Clearly, he's not Japanese who might be a part of Yakuza. First, the sign wasn't somewhere we can see. Second, the staff didn't even say anything to us and just rudely let us out. Pity, the food seems great but not a foreigner-friendly restaurant. Visited in a regular Sunday! Maybe because it was dinner time, we had to wait 45 minutes... But after eating, I can say it was worth the wait.

Staff: not super friendly but they did things quick and accurately. I never had to ask for anything twice (which sadly happens at many restaurants)

Baby/kids friendly: allowed us to leave the stroller at the entrance, prepared high chair for our son (2yo).

Food: great! I don't have fancy words to express it but it was great!

Price: not bad. 1 drink each, 6 dishes shared with 3 people 4000 yen (40 bucks) each. Food was more than enough that towards the end... We thought we might not be able to...
