Aloha Table Shonan is a nice and somewhat quaint restaurant that is across the street from the beaches that line enoshima island. The restaurant serves Hawaiian style food with Japanese attributes. Since this is a minor chain, they have their default menu but also has a exclusive menu for the enoshima area.
The staff were all very respectable, nice, and reachable. The tables are located near the kitchen area so you can experience the food being made and easily have a staff member assist you whenever necessary.
For the meal, I ordered fish and chips which included cod and shrimp fish and chips alongside French fries. The quality of the filling was good but the exterior batter was thin and flaky which was not really my preference. The fries were average, they were all round soft and thin (image below) and were not very salty. The sauce that came along with the meal was very delicious and conplimented the fish and chips spectacularly. The drink can go unexplained, it was good (again, image below)!
Overall great place, the only other complaint I really had was with the location being rude beside traffic, not much that can be done about...
Read moreFor dinner in Enoshima, I went to a Hawaiian-themed restaurant that caught my eye earlier in the day. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and looked beautiful, so I decided to have dinner there. When I arrived, I noticed many locals dining, which gave me confidence that it would be a good choice.
I ordered a thin-crust pizza with anchovies, a hamburger steak with fried egg and rice, a serving of fries, buffalo chicken wings, and a glass of lemonade. Normally, I'm not a fan of thin-crust pizza as I often find the crust to be too bread-like and unappetizing. However, this pizza was different. The crust was thin, crispy, and reminiscent of the thin and crispy Mexican tortillas. It was probably the only type of pizza that I truly enjoyed.
The buffalo chicken wings were another highlight of the meal. They were split into single-bone wings, making them easy to eat. They were well-seasoned, spicy, and delicious. The fries were perfectly fried, crispy, and flavorful.
On the other hand, the hamburger steak with fried egg and rice was rather ordinary. Perhaps it didn't stand out to me because fast food restaurants in Hong Kong often offer...

We had just arrived from Hakone and we're eager for a drink and snack and after walking from the station this place came into our view which was instant karma so we entered and checked the menu.
The menu was diverse and had some interesting drink options like pineapple beer, mango beer which were intriguing so we tried them. The pineapple beer had a typical beer flavour with a tint of pineapple which I thoroughly enjoyed.
We also had a small snack of avocado and tuna which was also really tasty which is always a promising combination of foods.
Staff were really great and helpful and we enjoyed our time in this really Hawaiian style place
Nicely decorated with a very welcoming touch with a complete window front see you feel closer to the sea especially on the upper floor
Recommendations If you want a change from typical Japanese food then this is right down your street with two floors of seating and good music to keep you entertained during your visit.
Highly recommended
