Ampoules — Restaurant in Fukuoka

This is the worst restaurant I have been to in Japan. The bar we sat at was dirty with dust and the kitchen which was clearly visible to all customers had food and grease that hadn’t been cleaned in who knows when. Pretty much everything we ordered (including our drinks) was substandard. The karaage in particular was very greasy and there was a huge glob of mayonnaise on the side. Besides the kebab, we couldn’t finish our food. And lastly the worst part of the whole experience. We could see the cook behind the counter and the way they handled the food was horrid. The cook didn’t wear gloves and during their moments of free time they were on their phone checking Instagram. The cook would be checking notifications on their phone and then handle the food with no gloves and without washing their hands. I also could hear the cook coughing several times during our meal. Took away a chicken kebab on pita bread with yoghurt dressing on it for only 500 yen. They were nice enough to give me a dollop of spicy sauce when I asked for extra spicy.

Overall quite tasty, not overly salty. The size is more like a snack or light meal. Chicken was tender and juicy, pita bread was nicely toasted and the dressing tasty. The servers are kinda cute too as the boss runs a modeling agency...
